FYI - Important info you need to know about.

Ok folks for all of those who have. Please dig deep into those pockets of yours and help out your neighbors in Greensburg, Ks.
This town has been absolutly destroyed by a tornato. They need help desperatly.
The town is nothing but debris. All buildings, companies, schools etc...homes have been destroyed.
Please help them out. They need all the help they can get. The town is under marshall law at this moment for safty reasons.
HELP THEM NOW WHILE YOU CAN.
All of these folks have lost everything.
Everything is gone. That town has vertually been wipped off the map, so if you are one of those folks "who have" your money is greatly needed. Contribute to Red Cross and all charities that can get in there to help these folks out asap!!!
Remember that this can happen to you as well.
It effects all of us, so let's pitch in and give what we can to help them.

Just in: The Plaquemines Parish Bura's volunteer Fire Dept only has 10 volunteer firefighters on staff and desperately needs help, both finacially and physically.
They were ground zero when Katrina hit and the Parish was completely destroyed.
They need help with equiptment replacement. Right now they have a beat up firehouse to work out of and let me tell you, it ain't much.
They are holding a crawl fish boil fund raiser in order to raise the funds necessary in order to replace what has been lost and to continue to fight fires and save lives.
The fund raiser will be held on May 5th, 2007 from 11am to 6pm. The crawl fish boil will be held at the Roger Halpen Memorial Park.
It will cost you $10.00 at the gate. So folks if you can...get out there and help to support these fine folks.

Hey if ya like neat dolls...go to the french market and stop in to see Corine.
She hand makes all her dolls. They are great!
Yep, she also is a local and has lost everything as well. We like to support our locals.
Corine's handmades...2414 Laplace st. Chalmette, La 70043 if anyone is interested.
She has a booth in the French Market were she sells the dolls. Sometimes her husband is on watch while she is at home ( address above ) making more dolls to sell.
She is sweet as pie and you'll love her.
So stop by and say hey..............

O-Tay now...here are a couple good places to eat here in New Orleans that are reasonably priced and good!
Mona Lisa Resturant on Royal Street....owwwww they have good italian food. My fav is the Seafood Pasta...mummmmmmmmmmmm....
Louisiana Pizza Kitchen on Decatur street...they kick butt with that pizza.
If ya love meat...try their alligator sausage pizza.
Ok...uhmmmmmm....personally I don't eat meat much...so I like the bean buritto as well as the egg plant and vegi pizza's they have on the menu.
All though, most of my friends love the alligator pizza.
Now here we like to tip the chef.
Ya like fry chicken? why of course you do my baby.
You have to stop by Matassa's on Sunday and see Mz. Jane.
Man that woman can cook that chicken. Heck she can cook so good she will make you fat just watching her cook.
Owwwwwwww she can feed me anyday.
If you are out having fun and need some of that good ol' grease to level you out...if ya know what I mean.
Check out the Quartermaster Deli, loving known as the Nellie Deli.
They are open 24 / 7 .
They have a great crew that works for them, so be kind to them and don't forget to tip.
We all work hard for a livin down here.
Ok now...I'm thinking hard on some more places.
So while I give myself a headache, yawl just walk your selves around town and have a look see.

If you so happen to be walking on Royal Street going towards Canal Street...stop by Kako's Folk art Gallery.
You never know, maybe you'll get the chance to see some of my art work.
Ow and beware of the House of Blues.
I made reservations there for a birthday dinner.
Well they took the reservation etc...blaaaaaaaaaa only for me to discover the resturant was closed the day of my reservations. Uh ha...ya like you would think they would have told you that when you made your reservations....two weeks in advance of the big day!!!!
Good thing I decided to call and double check two hours before our guest were to arrive and we were to head out for dinner.
That's fine. We took our buisness to Mona Lisa's for the big day and had a wonderful meal.
So there....
