Did yawl see Jessie Jackson and Willy Wonka yesterday marching through the 9th ward?
Now I really do appreciate Jessie Jackson marching with our folks.
But Mayor Wonka?! What the hell does he think he is doing?
It is after all his idea to take over those area's in the 9th ward to rebuild for the tourists.
He wants condo's, hotels, and a new cruse ship port to go in there.
Yep, he also want's to bring back the old Desire street tolley. Now that idea is cool.
So are the rest, but what about the homes there?
The neighborhoods and communitites that are in the way of his rebuilding plans?
If he really gave a shit, he would have pushed and done something sooner instead of telling folks to come home with no home to come to.
There would have been at least some type of trailer park set up in those area's for them to stay, while he worked on getting affordable houseing set up for his people.
Worked on getting the electricity, and water back to those area's so they could start to rebuild and get things going again.
Set up some type of program to help. Got together with the red cross and sent them into those areas badly hit right away and had the bull dozers start working there faster and went out to talk to those people sooner to see what it was that they needed instead of working on getting the tourists back to our city.
Yes I do realize that we need the income to flow asap, but hell we also need places to live in order to come home and rebuild.
Folks from outside the state have no idea that most of the people they encountered that worked in the service industry were from the 9th ward and the surrounding area's.
Shame on you Nagin...shame on you. You sure have been nothing but a dis-service to your community.
Once again that goes back to my other blogg regarding what he should have done.
Shame on him. He's a lousy excuse of a mayor...( heeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeeeee did you know that lousy also means infested with lice? haaaaahaaaaaaa)
Shooooooooot, he only did that march for publicity to make it look like he cares, that man could care less about anyone other then linning his own pockets.
He didn't stand up for his people when it came to FEMA. He left us out to dry.
Not just in the 9th ward, but in all the other areas that have been affected by the storm.
Don't let that guy fool ya, he only cares about the Quarter.
Now that area is his money maker.
Why I think we all need to take to the streets with our pots and pans and bang on them things. Rattle them and really make some noise.
WE should head to his home in the middle of the night and wake his butt up!
Bring the media with and put him on the spot.
We need to do the same when Bush comes to town. Meet him at the airport with our cookware and bang on it making a loud noise.
We need to yell out what we need in unison, not as a separate entity.
Keep in mind that together we stand as one powerful community.
Together we stand as one in peace, in progress, and man.
Together we yell at once...we can really cause a rumble and scare the heck out of some of these folks .
One person can't do it alone.
Now Mayor Wonka, you know you had no business out there marching. What happen man, did you not get the memo? no moron's allowed. Only those who care about this city and the rebuilding of it allowed!!!
Admitt it...this was only another photo op for you, we know the truth. Don't lie now.
Nor does Blanco or Landrieu and they were smart enough not to make an apparence.
What was your excuse? what did your vacation get set back again...or did you just have nothing better to do?
Hell Nagin, so far the only thing you have done for us is garbage pickup with a new scent, and mostly in the quarter man.
I don't see any inspectors going into the stores as well.
Have you any idea how much stuff is out dated? heck I found a ham out dated ( expiration date of Oct 24th of 06) at a local store and it was January of 07!
That seems to be a norm around here.
It's too scary to tell you what else has been found around here.
Yep, just try to call and report this stuff too.
The store get's a call with a name and address of who made the report, even if you tell them you want to be anonymous.
They show up and get paid off, and move on to the next scene.
Can you say...: CHA CHING!??!!!
So buyer beware that is for sure.
You can never seem to reach the attorney general's office to file a report.
Hummmmmm...just like Nagin.
Why I do believe they are all at camp David with Bush having one big ol' party at our cost.
When ever they are needed to do the job they are paid for ...hummmmmm...
you just can't seem to find them.
Oh well life goes on...
Nagin...shame on you for marchin' you need to get off your butt and do something to help get this city back on it's feet.
The same with the rest of you politicians out there!
Don't just tell us what you can do...man just do it and let us decide whether or not you have done a good job and if you can wear those shoes you really want to wear.
Put your money where your mouth is..
you know...right now we are all thinking the old saying.

so do something to prove your worth to the people of New Orleans or any other city / state that you are runing for! Do something man.

Oh and Jessie, don't you dare make this into a race issue.
There are also alot of other races here that were born in this city, and state that have also gotten the same rotten deal.
It is not only a "black" issue.
It is a community issue! Remember UNITY!!!!
so don't segregate the people of this city by yelling that it is only a racial issue because it is not!
We have all been screwed by our governments here. Not just the blacks.
So let's all work together to fix this problem and get the attention and help we need for all and not just one!
Jessie, if your here to do a job and help out then do it fairly now, ya hear!
