I couldn't believe that the news folks just seemed to be shocked to cover the story of how many folks are out on the street. Some have signs saying.."I work, can't afford the rent".

Now tell me that is not saying something about this city, about this world...about this place.

Ya thank you Nagin for telling us to come home without properly getting things ready for us...once again..a cap on utilities, rent....making sure there is healthcare and mental healthcare that is avaliable for the people...
food pantries, shelters that are big enough to shelter folks.... I mean is "Afordable Housing" so hard to do for your people...?
Man we need needle exchange programs...we need free clinics...we need food pantries...we need mental healthcare systems....we need police officers who care and do their jobs...we need for them to be housed properly as well....
They still work out of trailers as well as our firemen...ya thank you Nagin..way to go man..ain't nothing like stickin' it to the people who put you in office...

Our ma & Pa stores are closing...art galleries are shutting down...but hey man...
our resturants and coffee shops are doing fine...oh and don't forget about all the te-shirt shops man...hell I thought we had some class here.

Shit we are going to be just like Washington, DC....a place were only the upper middle class and wealthy can live...etc...and well..all the rest will be lining the streets with themselves.

Oh shit...I'm sorry, I forgot....is that not were the President is housed???? well then, I must be wrong...why there is no poverty right outside his door..no violence, drug problems, education problems...no slums...no real humans for that matter that live around the white house...

so do you think Nagin will then do the same as Bush and bring out the SDT guys to really wash down the sidewalks and the poor folks who have no were else to go?

So when you come here, you go out to eat...pay attention to the one's who take your order, the one's who cook your food and bus your tables..most of them are really struggling and you can help by at least being a good tipper man...if you can afford to go out and eat a nice meal...well then be nice to the folks who take care to bring you that meal and tip them man...

Thank the street cleansers and let them know what a great job they are doing. Think about it the next time you fick that cig down the street or toss that paper, plastic bottle etc..out of your hand, window what ever...just think about who has to clean it...and think about all the shit we all have to go through....and hey man be nice....or leave dammitt.
