funny question

Ya know, I was asked recently if I had ever done anything I was "Proud" of.
Yes, every day when I sketch, paint and tend to my garden.
I'm proud of my home that has been peiced back together with all recycled things from other homes and this one of course...damaged by Katrina & some destroyed by the Army Corp of Eng.

I'm proud of my friends and who they are to me and what they do to fill this world with love, peace and care.

I'm proud of my friend Chuck Cox who re-built my home for us...he went all around and picked up all that he could to reuse on this house to make it a home once again.
Peace.

He does that for a living now. He moved here from Chicago, Il just to do this..and he is a bright and beautiful soul..and I love him so much it hurts at times..I'm just so proud of him, and who he is...One of God's twinklin' stars on two leggs, that is what he is to me and my home.
Peace.

I beleive in recycling, I believe in saving animals lives, I believe in living surrounded by natures beauty and all that glorious green.

I start my morning off saying a prayer on the wings of a dove the way my grandpa tought me.
I end my day finishing that prayer at the other end of my home so all is at peace and all is sealed.
I take pride in all I do, and also know better then to have a swollen head.

I'm proud of the fact that folks like my art work I create and sell at Kako's gallery in the French Quarter. I use all recycled wood and use all that is around me that I can.
I even use the leaves that fall from the tree's to make my colours or sometimes plants and flowers that fall and land on the ground so they shall not go to waste and always live on in my world.
Folks don't know that about my work which is funny, but that's fine with me.

I'm very proud. Very proud of who I am and whom I love, and my house and home and love it to death. For I love my city New Orleans, that is my heart, my home and in my soul.
Always...always home, always proud of my New Orleans...for we have the best music, the best food and the best locals born and raised here anyone could ever ask for...all humble and full of love in ways you could never imagine and man we are proud of our heritage and that is something great to be proud of right?!

Yaaaaaaaaa Baby! we got it going on...and it shall keep on going and growing strong...now all we need is for all the rest of the nawlin's true bloods to come home...
So Nagin, get your ass busy and get those homes built...

Thank you Brad and Anjolie for all you have done. Had it not been for the attention you have brought to this tarnished city, we would have never shined so brightly again.
Thank you everyone for all you have done for this city.
For helping to rebuild..for caring for having faith, for just believing in us...Thank you.

As for all the rest of yawl...
All I have to say is ....HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I wish you all the love, warmth, friendship and laughter a person could ever ask for to fill each bad day with a bright spot.
I wish you all lite, care and good health.
And most of all I wish us all peace and prosperity...as always ma babies...
rock on! POWER TO THE PEOPLE RIGHT ON!

Peace in the city, peace in the valley, peace in our souls....

Me Tree - us ti it il gv and that's my story and I am stickin' to it....now go out and do something you are also proud of and pass it on....
