August 26, 2007

Well...well...well
here we are almost two years later...and what has our wonderful mayor Mr.Willie Wonka
done for us other then to just send the umpas out?

He gave a contract to SDT to pick up all our garbage and clean the streets.
Man that guy Sidney is doing one hell of a job cleaning our streets too.
No joke man really...those guys can clean.
hummm...I wonder if they do windows.

Wonka also had the city wired ( well the french quarter anyway) for free wireless comp. serv.
Does it really work? HELL NO... We haven't been able to use his free-be since he said it's there to be used...hummm...knowing him....he forgot to do something. Like maybe turn on the power?

Why of course let's see...hum....I'm sorry I just can't do this...the box of rocks is way too big for me to handle alone....
as my dear friends Tristy cat and Pumpkin would say...."THANKS ALOT FUCKER"

Well we do have a great new school that has opened up. Man I was so thrilled you would have thought i was going to attend the school. Dr.Martin Luther King School of Science.
Way cool. Man they did such a great job with that school.
Now too bad things aren't happening faster....we sure could use more schools here now folks.

So far over half the schools that have re-opened...( like our RSD schools as they are called )
are in dire need of a paint job on the inside...
they have leeky pipes, overflowing toilets...no toilet paper half the time.
Better air and heating units. ( yep, it does get cold here...we do have a winter! )
Heck most of the schools right now don't have cnt/ air or a working air conditioner...they are using industrial size fans...
Can you imagine that? hell we have had tempts of about 115 with the humidity...
swampy...could you work in those types of conditions?
These schools also lack books and other important learning supplies...
as well as knowledgeable teachers.

Man thank God for Tulane who got 500 educated grad students to stay in New Orleans and teach our children. Oh Thank you Lord.

Not to mention more then half of these kids are still on their own without supervision or an adult to help them.
Most still live in trailers in the process of being kicked out with no where to go...
Homes are still scattered and in disarray in quite a few areas.
You don't see them if you stay in the quarter...so if yawl come down to visit and party.
Take a walk on down around town. Bring a camera...let us know what you think and feel.
Not just about us, but our mayor and such...tell us man...I mean I know it just can't be me.

Most don't serve a hot lunch or a breakfast.
They will give ya a sandwich and hand ya an apple or something...I mean hey it's something, but come on man. Most of these kids don't have the food they need at home and depend on the school cafeteria to at least have a meal. Well unfortunately most of the kitchens are still messed up. Not enough workers...go figure...
Now yawl know I can just go on....so just pretend ok...and if yawl like here and see good things that I don't let me know ok so I can put that down man..because man all of this only makes me want to grab my zoloft and just pull the covers over my head.

Our crime rate is still up there. Man it's like everyone is a target...and what does the king of Chocolate do about this?
He decides to have parades throughout the quarter.
Mini mardi gars parades to boost up tourism....YAAAAAABABY

Don't worry about the crime. It's all in your head....
I mean, no a friend of mine did not get attacked in her gallery on a Sunday afternoon..
fight the guy off and he just went right down the street....grabbed another young girl and had her pinned to the wall of the store with his pants down to his ankels...another friend of mine caught him and called the cops...
Would you believe the kid said..."Go ahead and call the cops...they ain't gonna show man"
He was right. Talk about confusion..

You could read all about this one on the Nolaagainstcrime sight....
oh and my friend who broke up the prob...his name is Saunderson...not smith.
Here is what happen...they only had two squad cars and both were busy so they said they couldn't send a cop out to handle the situation...well this is what I was told...
fill it in man the story changes so often...what I do know is this did happen.

Needless to say...no cops no protection and shit...this was right on Royal Street.
A busy street filled with lot's of galleries...so there ya go...Now aren't you proud of our Mayor, our Governor, and Senators too.
Man this city is rockin.

There are 1600 properties so far on a list to be destroyed....
The Army Corp of Eng, claim they have a plan for 100 yrs of flood protection...
but make note...they didn't leave room to include any rain fall accumulation.
uhm....
HEY ALL RIGHTY NOW YOU GO ACE....
Here is the even bigger kicker.... lower Plaquemines Parish is not and will not be included in the flood protection....oh and the levees are fixed to handle a strong tropical storm for now...
at least if we have a storm without rain water accumulation that is...

JUST DON'T ASK MAN....ALL I KNOW IS YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!!!!

We lost two great folks here to Australia ...booooo hooooooo
Dan and Laura Maloney. Two wonderful people who work with animals.
Laura use to be the executive director of the LA/SPCA and Dan was the curator of the Audubon Zoo.
These two did one hell of a job for us and all the stray, ferral and abused animals here in nawlin' , and they sure will be missed.
So with all of this maddness going on here....which there is more....I'm just too darn drained to type any more negativity...
so....

ok i'm done for now...i need to go and take my meds and pull those cover's over my head...blaaaa..... I just don't feel like playing barfet right now...so chow for now...hehehee
