Today I had to say goodbye to Blue.
Blue was a kitty that would come to the window of my home and talk to my cat.
She was beautiful. I know that blue must have had a home.
She always looked well fed, was clean and very sweet.
She didn't have a collar, from what I was told lived in a house with other kitties not far from us.
Her owner's would just let her out and run the streets, not taking into consideration that when she ran..she ran across the streets.
Like St.Bernard ave / Gentilly as well as De Saix Blvd.
Well kitty didn't make it this last time. She was hit by a passing car sometime early Monday morning 1/21/08.
who ever hit her at least had the decency to put her up on neutral ground.
I looked out my window and seen her laying there this afternoon and was very sad.
Picked her up and just buried her in my back yard.
Good bye baby blue, you were a sweet... sweet kitty. You in the arms of angels for now.
I know you will return once your new clothes are done and you'll come back in a brand new coat and shoes....
if anyone knows of this kitty, you know how sweet she was. She was slate gray with a blue casting to her fur...almost like a Russian Blue. Which is why I called her blue.
Her other friends...House Speaker ( a short haired white & creamy orange male kitty)
Lefty ( a chunky long haired orange kitty with white underneath and a white spot on his left paw )
Turtle ( a dark coloured tortoiseshell female kitty ) and Co Coo a female calico with more white and two different colour ears with a white face ) were there on the brick wall behind my house as I buried Blue to say their goodbyes to her as well.
so to Blue I say this for you.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
For I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am the sunlight on the ripen grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush....
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight.
Walk tall as the trees and keep the warmth of the summer light in your heart.
Be gentle as the spring rains, live strong as the mountains.
Just do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.

Love,lite and Peace always.....
as I say....Peace in the City, Peace in the Valley & Peace in our Souls.
Power to the people right on!
With such a shock in the wake of my day, all I can say is we all need to pray.
We need to pay attention to the lives around us.
Regardless of wether or not they are on two legs or four.
We need to teach, to show, to grow as one.
As one country, as one nation as one world.
We the People!!!! TOGETHER WE STAND, UNITED WE SUCCEED, DIVIDED WE FALL!
Remember the words of Martin Luther King today and understand them as well.
Learn to live in this world as a whole and give back to your community.
Don't discriminate, just educate!
We could all use a good lession in relations.
Love, Peace and Lite always....

Update, I found "Blue's" owner. Blue's real name was Guiseppi ( now I know i mis-spelled that one) any who, the owner as well as I were sadden by this and they were thankful that blue is in a safe place now and was not left to rot on the street. Why I would never! He does take good care of the kitties in the neighborhood.
He has them fixed and get's their shot's, but they are ferals and are neighborhood kitties. Boy had I only known. I would have taken Blue in.
God Bless all of God's little creatures. May St. Francis watch over them always.
